A Solar Status

A Poem

My Photo

Her eyes repeating a sunset
culminating the colors
of a world set on fire
her skin like the chill
of a fire doused with water
to cool the heat in the air.

Imagining and reimagining
worlds created in the beckoning
of her beginning and she is
mostly carbon, meaning
she is that of stardust
fixated on a non-linear
state to remind the world
that healing from trauma
isn’t a straight line.

To solve the crime
done to your body
where the criminals
can never be found
lost to the ether
of a past that begs
to be present at times
words whispering
like a breeze
caressing silk saturated skin
to push through it,
woman of the moonlight
who is lunar made living,
a solar status.

I'm unapologetically me with a hard edged view of life. I love to travel and have crazy amounts of fun spaced between quiet moments.
