I remember the first time I saw a Doctor for depression. They ‘mmm hmm’ed’ me for an hour and I wasted it while watching the clock tick endlessly on.

We shouldn’t be not heard. We shouldn’t be another body. We are all unique, with such different paths, futures, and complicated structures with our minds eating us… from the inside out. Being told that we’re “okay” does not magically fix us. Sometimes admitting you aren’t okay is the most important thing you could ever do. And I struggle with doing that every damn time.

All this is to say that this story hit me and we, and you, are more than just a questionnaire to be filled.

I'm unapologetically me with a hard edged view of life. I love to travel and have crazy amounts of fun spaced between quiet moments.
