Muscle Memory
A Poem
1 min readAug 17, 2020
I’m teaching the words
I love myself more
than any other person
in this world until
this mantra is memorized
by my muscle memory.
Creating curves
to hug like roadways
clinging to cliff edges
the ocean tide
threatening to cause
a riptide out
away from
the self-love space
I’ve created.
They say to write
a love letter to yourself
in thirty words
and I make it my mission
to state an encyclopedia
version of existential
versions of love
for my existence.
